Top Ten Tuesday (Should be Movies)

Today's Top Ten Tuesday is:

Top Ten Books That Should be Movies (or TV Shows)

Unwind (Unwind, #1) The Selection (The Selection, #1) Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1) Evertaster Delirium (Delirium, #1) Splintered (Splintered, #1) The 5th Wave (The 5th Wave, #1) Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) The Iron King (The Iron Fey, #1) The Eye of the World (Wheel of Time, #1)
  1. Unwind by Neal Shusterman - This book has an amazing premise and presents so many questions about the importance of life and freedom.  It's also very action-packed, so I think it would play well on the big screen.
  2. The Selection by Keira Cass - Considering how much people like shows like The Bachelor, this one should be a natural, right?
  3. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - This could translate into a sweet romance on screen and it would definitely have a huge following.  Of course, they'd have to find the perfect people to play the leads or everyone would revolt!
  4. Evertaster by Adam Glendon Sidwell - This is a middle grade novel and the whole time I was reading it, I kept thinking, this should be a kids' movie!  It was funny and full of great action scenes and it just felt like a fun kids' cartoon movie!
  5. Delirium by Lauren Oliver - This loveless world would make for a really interesting film if it was done right!  (They'd have to do the whole series, of course!)  This one also might work well as a TV series so that you could really live in their world.
  6. Splintered by A.G. Howard - People love new takes on Alice in Wonderland.  Howard's Wonderland is crazily creepy and all sorts of fun!
  7. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey - Alien movies are always a good bet!
  8. Across the Universe by Beth Revis - The world onboard the ship is so incredibly unique and the story seems like it would translate well to film or TV.  This is one that might actually play out better on TV because you would really get to see what life on the ship was like!
  9. The Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa - This fairy world would be beautiful onscreen!  And the story is amazing, so someone should turn this into a movie!
  10. The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan - I need someone to turn these books into a TV series just so I can see what happens in the books without having to read them all!  (Plus, when it was transferred to the small screen, they would take out some of those pesky minor characters that Jordan loves to tell us so much about - I can't keep them all straight!).  No, but really, this series would make a great fantasy TV series and there's plenty of material for many seasons of shows!
Any books you were wishing you could see on the big (or small) screen?

Such a great list! I would love to see them all as a movie! Especially The Iron Fey series and The Selection.
Delirium would have made great TV series but unfortunately they cancelled the show after filming a pilot episode :( I really liked the first book, though I was disappointed with the series ending :)
You have such a great list! Delirium and The Selection made my list as well, but I'd love to see The Iron Fey as a movie!
We share love for three of the same books on this week's list. Love it.

I agree with The 5th Wave; it would make a good movie for sure. And I have yet to read the other books on your list...

Oh, I totally agree with IRON FEY, THE SELECTION, and ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. They would all make great movies or tv series (I have to read the rest of the titles on your list!).

I had never heard of the Evertaster. That sounds like a great kids movie. And I almost put Splintered on my own list!

I just found out a few minutes ago that Delirium is not going to be a TV show. How disappointing. Personally, I think that it would be better in a movie format due to the slightly complicated plot line. Great list!

I actually didn't know that Delirium was possibly going to be a TV show, but I totally agree with you that it would work that way better than as a movie. Too bad! I hope there's still a chance for a future show.
Great choices!! I am definitely with you for the Iron Fey series! Anna and the French Kiss would be sweet!

The Wheel of Time as a tv series would be amazing. I still cannot believe they keep declining The Selection! Perhaps Kiera Cass should try for a movie instead.
