Review Policy
Feel free to contact me at fictionaddiction@nicoleandscott.com if you would me to review your book, but please take a look at my review policies first.
Genres I am most interested in reviewing (YA, NA and adult):
- paranormal
- fantasy
- dystopian
- urban fantasy
I may also accept sci-fi, steampunk, horror and YA or NA contemporary romance if it strikes my fancy. Take a glance at my Reviews page to see other books I've reviewed if you're not sure if your book will suit me.
I do not generally review erotica, but I don't mind explicit sex in books as long as it is not the main focus of the book. All of my reviews contain a content rating so that my readers know who the book I'm reviewing would be appropriate for.
I’ll accept:
- Advanced Reader copies
- finished copies
- ebooks (mobi or pdf format)
Preference will be given to ARCs or finished copies over ebooks because I generally enjoy reading physical books more than digital books.
I will accept traditionally published, indie or self-published books. I reserve the right to turn down a review request for any reason.
My reviews:
My review will contain the book cover art, title, author, series (if applicable), release date, number of pages, Goodreads rating, my rating, my content rating and my review. I rate on a 1-5 star system (1 being lowest, 5 being the highest). I am also happy to include author information if you would like to provide it.
I am not compensated in any way for my reviews (except, of course, with books!) and will, of course, only post honest reviews. Please note that I ALWAYS post both negatives and positives about every book I review (even a 5 star review!), but I always try to be constructive with my negative points.
Reviews will be posted on this blog, on Goodreads and on Amazon. If you would like a review posted anywhere else, I will try to accommodate requests.
Blog tours:
I am happy to participate in blog tours or book blasts as long as the book falls within one of my preferred genres. I do not generally participate in cover reveals.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

It is tougher to find good reviewers now than ever before. Everybody is swamped! Thousands of new titles hit the market every week; it is nearly impossible to get noticed in that flood. Well, writing is my talent, so I am going to hang in there.
My debut novel is Painter of the Heavens, now on Kindle. It deals with a woman who becomes involved with a potentially dangerous con artist! I'm calling it literary/suspense. You can read the first 25 pages free by clicking on the cover image, here:
